A bit of a random post today as it suddenly occurred to me to wonder how people who read the blog found it in the first place. (I refuse to believe that there is someone in the world religiously Googling "Algy Lacey blog" day after day in the hopes that someone would actually, someday, start one...well...considering the level of insanity occasionally to be found on this blog...maybe not...)
Anyway...how did you find this blog? And what was it that made you come back a second time...and a third time...?

I first found the Algy Chronicles by typing in Algy Lacey, like I do, in search of something lovely to savour. As it happens, I loved your juicy posts, and I became a hardcore Soppy-ist as well as Algy-ist. There :) And we all lived happily ever after...

There have been an awful lot of *evil grins* around here lately, from Soppy in particular... I'm starting to think I should go off to Antarctica for a month or so until these 'little problems' are sorted out. Please, please arrive soon, Ginger and Bertie - I'll have never been so glad to see you.... :)

ReplyDeleteLike AA, I also typed in 'Algy Lacey' one day just to see what would come up. 'The Algy Chronicles' was almost at the top of the list,so I clicked on.

I too am totally hooked...
It's fresh and funny and hugely entertaining...and it features Algy in the starring role...of course I keep coming back. :D
Hmmph, AA, don't be too sure Ginger is going to be any help. Don't forget he already knows Algy has been seen kissing Jane!

Actually, I did that too, anon :) I think I must have typed in a variety of things... 'Algy Lacey', 'Algy Lacey fanfic', 'Algy Lacey amazing'...
ReplyDeleteOne learns a lot on the Algy Chronicles - mostly just about Algy and co, but also acquiring another layer of suspense-combatting patience. Very useful actually :)

ReplyDeleteHi Soppy, I just did my annual (or has it possibly been two years since I was last here??) checkback to your blog and have been delightedly catching up with all the entries. Like what most other people have said, I found it by googling "Algy Lacey"... It's been about 18 years since I first encountered these guys for the first time but I still do it approximately once in two years, and yours is the one site I've been returning to again and again for my Algy fix, in between the committments of life! ;P You are assured of your representative Singaporean audience as long as this blog keeps going.. I just don't have as much time as I used to! Like AA said, I'm now a Soppy fan as well as an Algy fan...
