A story about Biggles collectors?
It sounds horrific, I know, but I was thinking that it might be interesting to write a sort of meta fanfic where a couple of Biggles collectors go after Biggles and the Deep Blue Sea, and what happens to them along the way. Not sure if they would actually meet Biggles and Algy during the process as the details of the story are a bit open-ended at the moment, but the possibility is there at least.
My questions are,
a) Would anyone be interested in reading that?
b) If you are interested in reading it, what do you think the relationship between the two main characters should be (husband and wife? brother and sister? brothers? sisters? friends?)
c) What do you think the names of the characters should be?
d) Would you like to see Biggles and Algy in the story?

If it's written by you, Soppy, which I presume it will be, then I would be very happy to read it. Sounds interesting!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely think Algy and Biggles need to be in it (with the emphasis on ALGY needing to be ALIVE and WELL... hint); I'm sure you can twist them into the plot somehow :D
Perhaps just friendship would be best between the two main characters, because then you can go into their relationship in as much or as little detail as you want.

ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting concept Soppy, and of course I would read it. As for the main protagonists, - sorry, characters, I agree with AA that they should be friends. You can put in as much of as little emotional baggage as you like then.
ReplyDeleteAnd it goes without saying, Algy and Biggles should be in it. If you were to wangle Bertie a sneaky appearance too, that would be spiffing.

As for Biggles and Algy being in it - the mind boggles but I am sure it will be entertaining!!!!!
